CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Policy

The Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has adopted voluntarily the policy to conduct all business activities in a responsible manner, free from recognized hazards, and to respect the environment, health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers, partners and the community. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. committed and comply with all Social, Quality, Security, environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, as applicable.

Environmental Monitoring

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. is in a continuous process of environmental surveys to assess its current status and for that working in with various independent monitoring authorities which are working under the umbrella of EPA accreditation. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has gone through for its EHS monitoring and Energy Audit, from recognized, approved audit firms and continual improvement in environmental management system. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has made an agreement with EPA approved laboratory for industrial effluent analysis and monitoring and for treating effluents monitoring from its Effluent Treatment Plant.

GHG (greenhouse gases) Emission Monitoring

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has gone through the process of extensive surveys to measure GHGs from its various equipments to evaluate possible impacts on the climate / environment. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. is regularly monitoring GHG emission sources and maintain monthly reports and annual objective targets are well defined to reduce GHG emission from the plant to make green our environment.

Waste Inventory. Waste Minimization and Resource Conservation.

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. regularly monitor all wastes and maintain all waste inventory at the plant. KMPL support the reduction, for efficient reuse and recycling of waste materials, the elimination of emissions that adversely impacts the environment, and the conservation of natural resources.

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has adopted globally recognized strategies to move forward to adopt cleaner production processes and technologies, rendering less waste and greater productivity. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has a credit environmental Aspect and Impact Assessment to all its operations and develop controls to reduce impact from its operation to the environment. Social Management System

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. respects all social/ethical standards requirements and has implemented SA 8000:2014 Management System and WRAP Standard. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has developed procedures and policies to implement social/ethical management system requirements which include, prohibition of Child Labor, Prohibiting Discrimination, Prohibition forced labor, Prohibition of Harassment & Abuse, Fair remuneration system, Health & Safety, Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining, Decent Working Hours, Prohibition of Bribery and Protect the environment.

Quality Management System

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has developed and implemented Quality Management System and maintain Certification of ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) from a recognized third party. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has prepared Procedures, Work Instruction, Job Description, Process Flow Charts, Product Risk Assessment, Objectives and Targets to improve its Quality Management System.

Continuous Improvement

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. has developed Social, Quality, Health & Safety and environment policies and related procedures for continual improvement in its QHSE and Social Management System. Regular training is incorporated in all operations to improve overall management system efficiency.

Effluent Treatment Plant

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. realizes its corporate social responsibility towards sustainable environment and is working to a determined global standard for discharging effluents at its dyeing/bleaching plant. The company is spending a huge sum on maintaining a healthy & a green environment in and around the company and has established state of the art ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) following biodegradable treatment process ensuring compliance with local laws and international treaties & protocols.

Detox Monitoring

Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. committed to securing a toxic-free future for textile production. Kamal Mills (Pvt) Ltd. have defined clear rules for our suppliers that promote a changeover to non-hazardous chemicals within a realistic time frame, with the most hazardous chemicals being prioritized. Detox monitoring is carried out from approved third party.
